A Bye Night for the Cook!

Baseball carries on, but lucky me, I got the night off!  My husband cooked tonight!  He made a delicious stir fry with tofu, red pepper, and mushrooms from the store, and savoy cabbage, broccoli, and peppers from our CSA share this week.  And it was awesome.  It tasted awesome, and it was awesome to get to sit on the couch while he cooked and I watched Netflix.  And then I did the awesome dishes.

The cabbage was a little new to us.  We’ve had heads of regular cabbage before, but never savoy cabbage.  Lucky for us, the woman working at the shop where we pick up our CSA knew what it was, and had some great advice for what to do with it.

Cooking and blogging could become challenging if Hurricane Sandy has her way with us!  For all of those in harm’s way, good luck and be safe!  And stock up on peanut butter and batteries.

Baby steps, baby steps! The husband is getting better at and better about cooking every time he cooks.
I’d love to join the CSA Link party! How does it work? I clicked the link and that collection was closed. Did I miss it?

My thought exactly! I’m not sure what to do with it. I think it could feed 4-5 people and there’s only two of us!

  3. Nothing is better than a homemade stir fry made for you! My husband is also a master of stir frys…it’s such a treat. I swear they taste better when he makes them! Stay safe during the storm.

Thanks for checking out my blog! And I agree. Everything tastes better when someone else makes it! Hopefully the peanut butter and pumpkin muffins will get us through the storm.
