Let them eat kale!

Have you heard of Food Day?  The holiday was celebrated back in October (see how I celebrated).  But the Food Day crew works year round to build the movement for healthy, affordable, and sustainable food.  This movement is right up my alley, so when the Twitter call went out for guest bloggers, I was definitely game.  Below is an excerpt from my guest blog post.  Visit the Food Day blog here to read the rest of the story.

“The contrast between two USA Today front page stories tells a story about the state of our nation.  Political pundits talk about the shrinking U.S. middle class.  In food, that means we have millions of folks struggling to afford food for their families while the upper class enjoy exclusive steel gift cards for coffee worth more than some families’ monthly food budget.  We’ve lost the food middle class.”
